Ultra-realistic boxing game set to hit iOS devices in Q4 2012

16 August 2012 – Independent developer Vivid Games has announced the forthcoming release of its new game Real Boxing for iOS. Real Boxing is a brand new franchise from Vivid Games and will be available from later this year on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Vivid is also well underway to optimise the game in advance for iOS 6.

Powered by the Unreal Engine, Real Boxing represents a high watermark for boxing games on handheld devices. It features ultra-realistic physics as well as motion capture animation that has been filmed at state-of-the-art facilities in Poland using professional boxers. The game features an ‘over the shoulder’ perspective and players will vie to become the World Champion by taking on multiple opponents in order to claim the title. Each opponent will have their own distinctive fighting style with adaptive AI.

Real Boxing’s action will take place over four unique settings – three indoor and one outdoor – all based on real world locations.  Players can also opt to personalise their boxer’s appearance, and choose from dozens of possible combinations, including skin colour, tattoos, shorts, shoes and boxing gloves. Once they have selected their character, players can then train their boxer and build him up to take on greater challenges in career mode. In so doing, they can also unlock extras, such as new equipment, opponents and clothing.

“We’re investing very significant resources into Real Boxing to raise the bar for sports games on iOS and make this an exceptionally high quality title,” said Remi Koscielny, CEO of Vivid Games. “By combining the power of the Unreal Engine with lifelike motion capture and thrilling gameplay, players will feel every hook, jab and uppercut – giving them a truly unique boxing experience on their iOS devices.”

Well to me Martial Arts means respect and discipline.
I have trained in different Martial arts now for
well above twenty years. I have seen scores of people stick around
but one more thing that I have noticed will be the respect and discipline that has changed those peoples perception
of life.
Infants that have started which have been on the wrong side of the tracks, always
in trouble and no idea how to respect other kids. Put them in a controlled environment with discipline and fighting and they soon start to understand.

Martial arts is a terrific way for kids and adults to get rid of
their aggression without hurting or bullying anyone.
